During the fiery era (1908-1922) of Bengal’s freedom movement, the British rulers tried hard to suppress the passion for freedom of the activists. Influenced by the ideals of Aurobindo Ghosh, the members of the Bengal Revolutionary Party remain undeterred in their movement for the country’s freedom. After the failure of their bid to eliminate Magistrate Kingsford, the English rulers succeed in disintegrating the radical revolutionaries by dividing them and capturing their top leaders. Aurobindo’s withdrawal becomes more relevant in the context of these conflicts. Buoyed by a deep sense of philosophy, he takes recourse to the path of total submission to his inner spiritual call. After a long time, an old acquaintance comes to meet him. She confesses of events which lead to the quick arrests of the freedom fighters.
