Chanditala Prompter Presents an Evening of Two Plays

The play is about a simple girl who grew up drawing essence of life from nature. She gets stifled in the structured urban atmosphere of married life whereas her mind longs for the transparency with which the river flows. She feels the beckoning of her village mates from a distant past urging her to join them for bringing water in the pots. Banal urbaneness with the accumulated sins of decades lurking around, tries to overcome and curse her. The girl, uncared unloved and criticized feels the isolation. She gives into fate with immense turmoil inside. But all these adversities make her stronger. She starts recalling her identity, responds to unbound nature longing to hear fairy tales again.  With a gorgeous nature providing unstinted support and shelter, she finds solace in the dark soothing water in her village pond, her ultimate destination for liberation.
